By this point in his life, Matt Preskenis
is well aware that his life is nothing more than a cautionary tale for others. Interested
in having other people remember your best stories better than you do? Want to
figure out how NOT to act at a wedding? Ever wonder what it would be like to
stay for “just one more drink”—six times?
Spend a little time with Matt.
With the guiding mantra, "what can I
do to make this a better story for my friends?", Matt's life has been anything but boring.
From fateful adolescent meetings with The Legendary Lobster Boy to an accidental arrival at a whore’s birthday
party in Casablanca,
he’s had some good times. And, like the shameless, attention-starved middle
child that he is, Matt isn’t about to simply sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, treasuring them with a grin.
No, Matt ultimately stared his pain,
idiocy and humiliation in the face and managed to turn his stories into a slew of high-energy jokes about the messes he’s
gotten himself into, as well as the things he’s seen along the way.
The topics Matt covers run the gamut—from
his youth on Boston’s South
Shore to what he likes to call "his escape": the random travels
to even more random places that followed. All the while, he offers an uncensored
look at what a hyperactive man-child thinks of the world around him. Matt’s
material is never dull, but more importantly, it is always based on a one-of-a-kind perspective on life that is not always
appreciated by bouncers, bartenders or new brides.
Matt’s not sure if he’s proud
of his past or already ashamed of what the future will inevitably bring. At the
very least, he hopes that the countless dozens who see him live will learn something from the experience. Even if it’s simply that credit cards and strip clubs are a bad, bad mix.
